If you look carefully you will see the base I have built this pendant on is a sterling silver spoon bowl. The stem is curved into a generous bail. Why? First of all, the old sterling flatware is gorgeous. The back almost always has some design. Second of all it is thick which allows the pendant to hang beautifully and never crawl around on your neck. I have other reasons also and you can check my "about" section if you are interested.
